Numonyx
Numonyx was the world’s No. 3 maker of flash-type memory chips, formed 2008, using memory chip assets from STMicroelectronics N.V. and Intel Corp, specializing in cellphone memory. Numonyx was the world’s largest supplier of NOR flash. Numonyx was a semiconductor company making flash memories, generated approximately $3.6 billion in combined annual revenue. The company supplies non-volatile memory for a variety of consumer and industrial devices including cellular phones, MP3 players, digital cameras, computers and other high-tech equipment.
Numonyx was acquired by Micron Technology on February 9, 2010
