Orbit Semiconductor, Inc. manufactures semiconductors devices. The Company designs electronic systems for application in the medical, telecommunication, consumer, aerospace, military and manufacturing sectors. Orbit Semiconductor serves customers in the United States. Orbit semiconductor Inc. provides semiconductor design and manufacturing services that allows system designers to manage effectively the development and production of ASICs for the communications, consumer, industrial, computing and medical markets. Orbit services allow customers to meet their cost, quantity, delivery, performance and/or packaging objectives. The company emphasizes customer service. Thus it is extremely responsive to customer needs, addressing those needs with maximum flexibility.

August 22, 1996–The DII Group Inc. (Niwot, CO) announced that it has completed its acquisition of Orbit Semiconductor Inc.

2000 Flextronics International Ltd. acquired The Dii Group, Inc. (Niwot, Colo.) in a transaction valued at $2.4 billion. Flextronics and The Dii Group are both leading providers of electronics manufacturing and design services through operations in the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

In September 2005, AMI Semiconductor acquired the Semiconductor Division of Flextronics, Inc., and in February 2007, the Orbit team became independent.
