On September 28, 2011, Milwaukee Resistor Corporation was merged into of Vishay Intertechnology Inc. Milwaukee Resistor Corporation designs and manufactures dynamic braking resistors for use with AC variable frequency drives and DC drive applications. It offers quick build braking resistors and enclosures for installation at original equipment manufacturers’ factories and industrial job-sites; edge-power, wirewound power, ribwound, roundwire, and metal case resistors for motor/motion control applications in overhead cranes, locomotives, lift trucks, elevators, machine tools, conveyors, battery lines/chargers, plating baths, power supplies, industrial controls, arc and spot welders, UPS systems, and processing equipment; and grid resistors for high current and low resistance applications in braking, test loads for generators, crane controls, speed control, grounding resistors, heaters, and motor starting applications.
