Mallory Sonalert
Mallory Sonalert, headquartered in Indianapolis, IN since 2002, is the modern incarnation of a legacy dating back over 100 years. Originating from the P.R. Mallory Co. founded in 1916, which began with tungsten wire light bulb filaments, the company evolved to pioneer numerous electronic components, including the notable tantalum capacitor in 1946.
The Sonalert story began in the early 1960s when Bronson Potter patented the first practical electronic audible alarm. Mallory acquired this technology and launched the SC628 alarm models, which became the cornerstone of their current product lineup.
Today, Mallory Sonalert continues to innovate in consumer electronics, holding 12 active patents for technologies like microcontroller alarms, backup alarms, alarms with terminal block terminations, IEC60601-1-8 compliant alarms, hazardous environment alarms, and a new miniature speaker line. Despite changes in ownership and technology, Mallory Sonalert's commitment to quality and innovation remains steadfast. With a century of history, the company continues to lead in the electronics industry, driven by a dedicated team and a legacy of excellence.
