Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics GmbH was formerly known as Tuchel-Kontakt GmbH and changed its name to Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics GmbH in 1967.

Ulrich Tuchel founded Tuchel Kontakt GmbH in Heilbronn in 1955. Right from the outset, the company focused on the production of electrical connectors. In 1967, following its acquisition by Amphenol-Borg GmbH, the business was renamed Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics GmbH.
